History will be made this week, as 'Live' Ultrasounds will be performed on pregnant women in the United States Capitol building.

(Washington, DC)?According to a statement on their website, on October 13, 2011, "Voices from the Womb" will begin their national campaign by performing ultrasounds on pregnant women in the Congressional Auditorium at the United States Capitol in Washington, DC.

UltrasoundThe message on their site goes on to say that "all 535 members of Congress will be personally invited to witness live ultrasounds on women who are in their first, second and third trimester of pregnancy. Members of the House of Representatives and the Senate will have the opportunity, for the first time, in the United States Capitol to 'hear' from the pre-born children of America." "They will have the chance to see and hear the beating heart of a 10-week pre-born child. They will witness the miracle and beauty of an 18 week old child as they can clearly see their face, fingers and toes.

"Through the power of this amazing 'window to the womb' all pro-choice politics and arguments will melt away. Our nation's leaders will then be able to see firsthand the humanity of the child and the fact that we must do all that we can to protect the weakest members of our society and stand for human rights.

The event is also open to the public as it takes place in the Congressional Auditorium in the United States Capitol Visitor Center, beginning at 11am.

UltrasoundFollowing the October 13th ultrasound presentation at the Capitol, the "Voices from the Womb" national tour will begin, and will be stopping at schools, churches, state capitals, parks and legislative hearings for more presentations.

Says the "Voices" website: "Our message and goals are clear: listen to these 'voices from the womb' and let us all work together to end the violence of abortion and embrace justice for all."
