"One cannot talk about design without acknowledging the Designer! I believe God is the ultimate Designer and He has a plan for every person's life, so I encourage everyone to watch this weekend and make an informed decision." -Wendy Alec, GOD.TV co-founder.

(Altamonte Springs, FL)?Is the earth billions of years old? Could there be life on other planets? How much of a role did evolution play in the origin of the earth? Do dinosaurs disprove the Bible? Can the Holocaust be linked to an Evolutionist worldview? These are some of the controversial questions that will be raised on the GOD Channel this weekend.

God TVFrom Friday July 22nd through Sunday July 24th GOD TV will be presenting themed programming focusing on how the earth came into existence. This includes films, documentaries and teaching programs that focus on the age-old debate concerning Creationism vs. Evolution.

Viewers can find out more about the founder of Evolution, Charles Darwin, as they watch 'Darwin: the voyage that shook the world'. This is a fascinating film that retraces the journey of the HMS Beagle and examines Darwin's findings from different viewpoints.

In two highly informative programs, 'The Age of the Earth' and 'Rapid Rocks' geologist Tas Walker questions how long it takes for rock to form. This is a key issue to the debate, as some scientists believe it takes millions of years, while a literal reading of the Bible indicates that the earth is only 6,000 years old. Dr. Carl Wieland presents 'Origins in the Modern World and Why it Matters'; and in 'Starlight, Time and the New Physics' Dr. John Hartnett sets out to explain light-years in an earth that is not billions of years old, with some eye-opening explanations.

Gary Bates claims UFO sightings are linked to a belief in Evolution and looks at the issue of life on other planets in 'Alien Abductions and UFOs'. Dr. Jonathan Sarfati examines whether Evolution could be the worldview behind abortion and euthanasia and in 'Evolution and the Holocaust' asks if there could be a link between 'Natural Selection' and the extermination of six million people.

From a Creationist perspective, Philip Bell discusses 'Apemen: Missing Links and the Bible'; Dr. David Catchpoole focuses on 'Dinosaurs and the Bible'; Dr. John Sanford asks 'Does Evolution hurt Science?' and in 'Journey Towards Creation' astronomer Dr. Hugh Ross marvels at the intricate design of the heavens and the earth.

Well known for his message on Creation entitled 'Indescribable?' Louie Giglio shares about the love of God at the Hillsong Australia Conference, presenting God as infinite, and yet interested in people's lives. "The God who spoke the universe into existence also made you," he says. "He's big enough to breathe out stars, yet intricate enough to fashion together the trillions of cells that make up every facet of the human body and He loves you."

GOD TV aims to show programming that is eye-opening and relevant and this focus on Creation/Evolution will help viewers make up their own minds on the issue, once they have examined all the evidence. "The heavens and the earth are so vast and so intricate, it doesn't make sense that there is no Creator," says Wendy Alec who is GOD TV's co-founder and director of television. "One cannot talk about design without acknowledging the Designer! I believe God is the ultimate Designer and He has a plan for every person's life, so I encourage everyone to watch this weekend and make an informed decision."
