"Around two months ago our Desert Fathers group gathered at Richs home to do a Living Eulogy and to say to his face what we will say about him at his memorial service. Yes, weve also been praying for healing-big-time, but the facts are that eventually, none of us are going to get out of this world alive and we wanted to give flowers to the living and not the dead."

(Fullerton, CA)—Christian leaders and celebrities are lining up to take part in an extraordinary "Living Eulogy/Life Celebration" for veteran broadcaster, Rich Buhler, who has inoperable pancreatic cancer.

It will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton, California, beginning at 7:00 PM.

Diane and Rich BuhlerAmong those already slated to take part in person are Barry McGuire, Darrell Mansfield, Pat and Shirley Boone, Ralph Carmichael, Hermano Pablo (Paul Finkenbider), Hal Lindsey and those sending in their written/spoken tributes, include Jim and Shirley Dobson, Cliff Barrows, Franklin Graham and radio and television personality, Stephanie Edwards.

This event is being sponsored by KBRT AM 740 who carry Buhlers "Talk from the Heart" radio show, CASA (Christian Association of Serving Adults) and the many friends of Rich and Dianne Buhler.

John Coulombe, pastor to senior adults at the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton, who one of the main organizers of the unique tribute to Buhler, said, "I think most of you have already received the word that our friend, Rich Buhler was diagnosed several months ago with terminal pancreatic cancer. Recently, a friend called and asked if we could honor our friend Rich Buhler before he heads to heaven.

"Around two months ago our Desert Fathers group gathered at Richs home to do a Living Eulogy and to say to his face what we will say about him at his memorial service. Yes, weve also been praying for healing-big-time, but the facts are that eventually, none of us are going to get out of this world alive and we wanted to give flowers to the living and not the dead.

"It was a glorious and meaningful two hours and the Lord gave Rich strength for that day to enter into the experience whole-heartedly, mentally, spiritually and physically. My friend, Bob Noonan mentioned that Rich has so many more friends, and suggested we do it again, but invite all those who werent able to gather at his home that day.

"Richs radio family and listeners will be invited (KBRT, KKLA & KFWB) along with his friends and colleagues who are pastors, evangelists, missionaries, radio and television broadcasters. Also attending will be Brethren Christian High School Alumni (his high school), his church, Anaheim Vineyard, the CASA family (Christian Association of Serving Adults), the Biola Alumni Family, Desert Fathers, Missionary Aviation Fellowship, along with his many friends from around the country, including YOU."

He went on to say, "The evening will have a more informal, casual, family, living room feel since we dont have the time to make it slick with videos, programs etc. There will be opportunities for affirmation, personal testimonies and lots of music, laughter, yes laughter-Rich has not lost his sense of humor, fun and yes, tears. And, there will be lots of surprises, needless to say. Our purpose is the same as it has been in the past: to glorify the God of Rich and Dianne Buhler!

"No refreshments will be served, but I assure you, we will all leave refreshed in our spirits and purposes."
