"X3watch was intentionally designed to give users the freedom and power to show their friends, parents and spouses that they can be held accountable and make good choices."

Craig GrossAccording to an ANS article, a new "app"—designed by the largest group actively addressing the issue of adult explicit material online—has been released, which will foster greater accountability in surfing the web with a mobile phone.

The XXXChurch.com now offers the X3watch app, downloadable for free from iTunes App Store, and for $4.99 in the Android market.

The app works by recording the name of any questionable website, along with the date and time the user visited it, and then sends that information via email to the person listed as an "accountability partner."

Craig Gross, the founder of XXXChurch.com and an addiction expert, said in a news release, "Unlike filters that just block specific websites all together, X3watch was intentionally designed to give users the freedom and power to show their friends, parents and spouses that they can be held accountable and make good choices."

He added, "For people frequently tempted by the accessibility of Internet porn, this app is a great tool to keep them in check and focused on who their habit may be hurting."
