"The company has received so many e-mails and complaints that they are changing all their holiday cakes to say ?Merry Christmas' and will be saying it in the stores."

Costco logoAccording to an Action Alert from the American Family Association (AFA), Costco stores, which had previously maintained "Happy Holidays" verbiage regarding Christmas, have changed and are now using "Merry Christmas" in their advertising and promotions.

In addition, says the AFA, the corporate headquarters official holiday phone greeting is now, "Merry Christmas from Costco."

It was apparently the outpouring of email and phone calls that prompted the modification of policy. "The company has received so many e-mails and complaints that they are changing all their holiday cakes to say ?Merry Christmas' and will be saying it in the stores," said one unnamed Costco manager.

Part of taking action against a bad policy, is actively showing gratitude when that procedure is changed. To personally thank Costco for becoming "Christmas friendly," CLICK HERE.
