"The Church was not designed to exist at the edges of society - irrelevant and unnoticed. Some say Europe is 'post-Christian.' It's actually beyond that. In many ways Europe is pre-Christian again and ready for a dramatic spiritual revolution."
(United Kingdom)—Inspire Magazine reports that Christian leaders from 20 European nations will meet at a Strategic Leadership Consulation in Malaga, Spain, from May 8-10 to develop strategies to change the spiritual direction of Europe and put in place long-term strategies for spiritual reformation throughout Europe.
Chair of the Strategic Leadership Consultation summit and director of Next Wave International, Mal Fletcher, said: "Our plan is to reposition the Church as a core influence in European culture over the next ten to 10 years. The Church was not designed to exist at the edges of society—irrelevant and unnoticed. Some say Europe is 'post-Christian.' It's actually beyond that. In many ways Europe is pre-Christian again, and ready for a dramatic spiritual revolution." (Photo: Mal Fletcher/Next Wave International)
"What this forum brings is a prophetic insight into what God might be saying now, to the Church and to Europe as a whole," said Clive Urquhart, leader of the Kingdom Faith church network in the UK.
"We're creating an extraordinary network of friendships with people who share the same vision for Europe," said Robert Radix, leader of a church network in France. "We're not just looking ahead to the next five years, but to the next 15 or 20 years."
