Bush's farewell ceremony brought together the former presidents who are living, and their spouses, as well as President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania.

As the funeral was held at the National Cathedral in DC, it was striking to see the row of current and former leaders-of-the-free-world sitting together in honor of Bush: President Trump and Melania; Barack and Michelle Obama; Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter.

Former President George W. Bush gave the eulogy for his father.

On Twitter, Wednesday, President Trump said that he was "looking forward to being with the Bush family," and called the service "a celebration for a great man who has led a long and distinguished life." Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
