Rep. Peter King: "It's Important For All of Us to Lower the Rhetoric a Bit"

Fox News' Melissa Francis interviewed Rep. Peter King about Wednesday morning's shooting, and King responded with some very meaningful statements: (Screengrab via Fox News)

"...unfortunately there are psychotic people on both sides [of the political spectrum]. I do think that, as the Speaker was saying today on the House floor, it's important for all of us to lower the rhetoric a bit, and try to calm things down. Because when the rhetoric does get out of control, or gets too loud, you do find psychotic people, or mentally disturbed people in society can respond to that. I don't in any way want to blame this on Democrats ... but it should be a signal to people that disruptive behavior ... I like a good political fight as much as anyone, but there's a certain line you shouldn't cross..."
