The Prayers of Over a Million International Students Can Make a Difference in America, November 17th

“There are now 1.2 million international students in this country and they are the best hope for the future of the world. If they will seek the face of God, repent from their sins both personal and corporate, I believe we will see a real difference.

The local prayer circles will join in solidarity with a national gathering in Washington at the Lincoln Memorial and with other groups at campuses all across the country.

“I call on everyone to join us, wherever they come at 7:30 am to campus or meet us throughout the day at prayer sites in the surrounding community,” says national spokesman Debra Yarde. Prayer volunteers can register at Operation Esther Prayer Circles on the OSM website, www.OSMission.org.

Meanwhile the doors will remain open all day for private prayer vigils in local various local churches and locations. The groups will come together to intercede at 9, 12 and 5 PM as announced. “OSM has supported the National Day of Prayer for over 30 years now—and this new focus on international students is a logical extension of that,” says Debra Yarde, the national spokesperson for the Operation Esther Circle movement. “There are now 1.2 million international students in this country and they are the best hope for the future of the world. If they will seek the face of God, repent from their sins both personal and corporate, I believe we will see a real difference.

"All of us, and that includes Christians, Jews, Muslims and even those without a religious affiliation, must call upon the Lord and seek His face. How else can we learn to love one another, serve one another, and end the violence, injustice and sin?” Besides the National Day of Prayer and National Collegiate Day of Prayer, Yarde has been active in many other prayer movements.
