"I think they're feeling very hopeless and praying to God, 'What do I do?'" Taylor Henry told KSLA News. "What inspired me was talking about giving in my church."

When Taylor saw her school and her church collecting donations, she started looking for a way to pitch in. That's when she decided to use her sewing skills to create tissue holders that could be sold and the money given to flood victims.

"The donations will be going to my church, who then will donate them to flood victims," she said.

With more than 100 tissue holders sold at $5 dollars apiece, she's well on her way to reaching her goal of $1,000. A local company has promised to bridge the gap if the effort falls short.

Those who want to purchase a tissue holder can find out how at her mother's Facebook page.
