MH17 Airline Disaster in Ukraine: Dutch Report is In; What They Say brought the Plane Down

The final report from the Dutch Safety Board regarding the crash of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 in July of 2014 in eastern Ukraine was announced on Tuesday morning. (Screengrab via BBC News)

According to BBC News, the report found that a Russian-made Buk missile, exploding near the cockpit above the plane caused the Boeing 777 to fall from the sky, killing 298 people.

The Dutch report did not include who may have fired the missile, however, it was known that pro-Russian separatists were in the area at the time of the crash.
