Officials at the CDC refuse to comment on why the fact sheet was pulled from their website.

(Washington, DC)—A day after the New York Post reported on a fact sheet posted on the CDC website indicating Ebola can be spread from sneezing or coughing, the said fact sheet disappeared off the CDC site.

"The fact sheet was taken off line," noted reporter Bob Fredericks, "and a link that led to it a day before now sends viewers to a different page with a different message."

The notice on the website now reads: "What’s the difference between infections spread through air or by droplets? fact sheet is being updated and is currently unavailable."

According to the New York Post report, CDC officials are "mum" on the issue, refusing to respond to questions for the original story.

When asked why the poster was pulled, Dr. Meryl Nass of the Institute for Public Accuracy in the nation’s capital said: "I think they probably didn't like the story in The Post!"
