(Middletown, Ohio)—According to a Christian Post report, an Ohio teen who died recently during a visit to a haunted house attraction, was said to have had a pre-existing heart condition.

Sixteen-year-old Christian Faith Benge reportedly collapsed inside one of the Land of Illusion "haunted houses." Christian's mother, who was with her, tried to revive her daughter.

"I did CPR until the paramedics arrived. And I trust God. He has the ultimate plan," Jean said according to ABC 15. "She's better off than we are… because of her faith in Christ I know she's home."

The CP report noted that Christian had been born with a heart defect known as "congenital diaphragmatic hernia." She had reportedly been visiting the attraction with many friends and family members.

Christian's grandfather, a pastor at a Full Gospel church remarked, "I just wish there were more giving and more loving like she lived her life. She's always been a kid that never complained, even through all the operations she went through."
