"The destiny of both India and Israel as thriving democracies are intertwined," said rally organizer Tapan Ghosh. "We both share the same values."

Ghosh added that both India and Israel are "surrounded by very tough neighbors" and are united in peace.

A report in The Tower, noted that ties between Israel and India have been improving in recent years and that the election of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India earlier this year bodes well for continued relations between India and Israel.
