(Perth, Australia)—According to a CNN.com live blog, bad weather and darkness on Thursday has hampered the search for the missing Malaysia Airliner, so the investigation has been postponed until Friday. (Graphic via CNN.com)

It was announced Thursday (local time) that possible debris from the plane was spotted floating on the water in the southern Indian Ocean. The information was described as being "credible but not confirmed."

The CNN blog stated that the "objects were picked up by commercial satellite on Sunday. A Royal Australian Air Force search plane dispatched to the remote spot was unable to find either object amid rain, clouds and limited visibility."

One man, whose son was on board the jetliner said, "I have hope. From the very beginning, I firmly believe that everyone on board is alive."
