The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls—(together with the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, share the collective name of Niagara)—were mostly to partially frozen, much to the delight of tourists who flocked to see the unusual phenomenon.

It was the second time the extreme cold had caused a partial Niagara freeze.
