"Still all the doctors are confused and they can't understand what happened. What they saw in the womb and reports and in ultrasounds were wrong—they are not able to understand it."

Baby Daud(Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan)—Doctors in Pakistan may not be used to using the word "miracle" and while they may be at a loss to describe any other way the recent birth of a little baby boy named "Daud" (in English: David), they do agree that his obvious good health is by the grace of God.

Last week I received a message from Saqib, a friend and brother-in-Christ who, with his wife, is on staff at Jesus My Shelter Christian orphanage, in Pakistan. He was excited to share a great testimony of healing.

He wrote that his beautiful wife Sana had just given birth and he had to share what had happened during her pregnancy.

Sana's baby, Daud, had been diagnosed with asymmetrical intra-uterine growth restriction or I.U.G. R., which causes the baby's head to be much larger than other body parts. The condition can lead to various complications for the baby.

Sana and SaqibIn Daud's case, all the tests done showed his body as being as much as 8 weeks smaller than his head, giving doctors and Sana and Saqib great concern.

The worried parents consulted many doctors—from gynecologists to radiologists—and had many tests, including ultrasounds; receiving the same report each time.

But throughout the entire time, Sana and Saqib didn't cease to pray, asking for God's mercy and help and thanking Him for the gift of this precious baby.

"On June 24th we went to the hospital and they admitted Sana," Saqib told me. "The checkup that night was that the condition was the same; baby's head was so big and his body was small (especially his legs)."

Baby DaudThe next day, doctors recommended and performed cesarean section surgery on Sana.

Saqib recounts, "On June 25th, gynecologists/surgeons operated and, wooo hooo!, the baby SHOCKED the doctors, he was ABSOLUTELY NORMAL! The hospital staff measured the baby three times but everything was normal."

The doctors were reportedly "confused" and although hesitant to use the term "miracle," Saqib says, "They believe this happened because of God."

A very joyful Saqib told me, "Still all the doctors are confused and they can't understand what happened. What they saw in the womb and reports and in ultrasounds were wrong—they are not able to understand it.

Baby Daud"But, WE understand this. Our Heavenly Father blessed Daud. All the reports and ultrasounds and his I.U.G.R. condition were changed in a single night—yes, in a SINGLE NIGHT!

"We praise Him highly."

We rejoice with Sana and Saqib and their children, Daud and Hosanna. They, along with all the staff, are doing a great work for the Lord in Pakistan at their orphanage, Jesus My Shelter.

Not only are they caring for and educating orphaned children, but they have added a very successful women's program, teaching young women skills that can provide for them and save them from human trafficking.
