The prayer vigil is scheduled for Thursday night, July 11th at 7pm, which the community is invited to attend, along with current and former host families of the students.

West Valley (West Hills, CA)—Following the tragic crash of Asiana Airlines flight 214 in San Francisco, it was learned that the two deaths were teen girls, part of a larger group of students from China on a visit to West Valley Christian School for three weeks of faith-based activities.

Canceling the plans for the group of 35 Chinese students, officials at West Valley Christian School posted on their website that they will now be holding a prayer vigil, and putting together care packages for the students and their families.

A special page has been set up for donations to help the families, and the students who lost personal items and luggage in the fatal accident.

The prayer vigil is scheduled for Thursday night, July 11th at 7pm, which the community is invited to attend, along with current and former host families of the students.

On Wednesday, the day before the vigil, the school will hold a press conference, and Pastor Glenn Kirby will reportedly have prepared a special prayer for the Chinese families, which will be translated into Mandarin.
