CANAN, The Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans has published a prayer for America on our National Day of Prayer which includes: "We are joyous that the worship of our LORD and GOD is free, robust and flourishing! We declare that the United States of America, shall overcome every foe, every plan of terror and all manifestations of evil intended, planned or acted against it...in JESUS NAME!

(New York, NY)—We give ALL glory to GOD today and join the faithful in this land of the free and the home of the brave to pray for our nation. We bless the name of the LORD who is worthy to be praised! America makes its boast in the name of the LORD and we magnify the name of JESUS!

Nigerian Christians We are thankful that in His infinite mercy, the good LORD continues to protect the nation from all dangers, preserving its global leadership and securing its promise and dreams.

We are joyous that the worship of our LORD and GOD is free, robust and flourishing! Alleluia!

We pray that the United States of America will not abandon its covenant with the King of kings, recalling that in the heady but final days of British Colonialism, the cry was that Jesus is our King!

We pray that the faith of the founding fathers of our country prevails, despite an unprecedented onslaught against its fundamental pillars.
We pray that a time of refreshing might return to the land and the people's good health continue.

We pray that righteousness will prevail in this land, and that this free gift of our Lord would not be trampled upon with reckless abandon by a nation born in the womb of God-given freedoms.

We pray that there will be repentance and a change of heart from the instances of straying and perversion that has been and is being encouraged in the land. Counting on the enduring mercy and amazing grace of our Savior, we look forward to a time of redemption and hope for revival!

We pray that our market-places will not be totally abhorrent to the concept of corporate prayers, that our leaders will not disdain intercession and families will remain faithful in calling upon the name of the LORD.

We declare that the United States of America, shall overcome every foe, every plan of terror and all manifestations of evil intended, planned or acted against it...in JESUS NAME!
