After reading of her former mother-in-laws need for a kidney transplant on Facebook, Erica Arsenault donates hers.

(Leominster, MA)—We've all heard stories about a family member or friend donating an organ to a loved one. That level of sacrifice is amped up a notch when a stranger is willing to donate an organ. But when someone steps forward to give an organ to someone they've been estranged from, well, I'd say we're really entering into Kingdom territory big time.

Dorothy and Erica Such is the case of Erica Arsenault, who—after discovering she was a perfect donor match for her former mother-in-law, 72-year-old Dorothy Wolferseder—underwent a successful transplant kidney surgery in July.

According to a WHDH News report, Dorothy's son Scott, and Erica (now remarried), had two children together before divorcing about 10 years ago.

Scott was quoted as saying his former wife and his mother speak about "every day," and that Erica told him that "just for the heartache she caused myself and our boys, as well as my family, this was her way of making things right."

Said Erica, of her former mother-in-law, there's "a lot of history between me and her."
