(Columbia, SC)—WISTV reports that the State House grounds became an "outdoor church service" recently when scores of teachers from around South Carolina gathered to pray for God to be part of the state education system there. (Photo: WISTV.com)
According to the report, they prayed, "Please convict and empower us to passionately be Your light in Your school, [and] in our city, state, and nation."
One participant, Scott Schull, said, "I just want to see the Lord glorified."
Lois Brown, a minister, said, "I'm expecting to see a change in our school system, a change in our children; that they will feel better about themselves and they will know someone is praying for them."
