"We believe that Mel did a great job with 'The Passion' getting the Church united. This is the next way of globally getting the Church all on one page because the Church is kind of like a sleeping giant and it needs to wake up. This is a world that needs hope and love, and that is what God and Jesus are all about." –David Wood

If you're like me, as much as you appreciated the monumental movie by Mel Gibson, "The Passion of the Christ," you wish he would have spent more time on Jesus' Resurrection from the dead—as it is, it was only alluded to at the very end of the film.

The Resurrection movieHollywood producer and promoter, David Wood agrees, and is actively pursuing a vision to tell the Resurrection story in detail in a major motion picture.

Wood is planning to depict the "events surrounding the Resurrection and the 40 days that followed," according to a Christian Post report. The movie will be titled, "The Resurrection."

Wood says, "The real power of Christianity is the risen Jesus. Even though we all know that Christ went to the cross for our sins, it's really the power of Him resurrecting, which is the power of who we as Christians truly are. This second story is about this. It's a story about love and hope. This is a much more positive story."

Wood goes into detail in the CP article, regarding the innovative and unusual way he is going about funding the project.
