The Color of the Universe is "Cosmic Latte"
by
Teresa Neumann : Nov 5, 2009 : Richard Alleyne - The Telegraph UK
"The change in color over [time] from pale turquoise to beige is similar to the color of the sky at sunset." (Baltimore, Maryland)—British astrophysicists Dr. Karl Glazebrook and Dr. Ivan Baldry were at John Hopkins University in Baltimore when they discovered that the light emitted by 200,000 galaxies combined to produce the color beige.
Said Dr. Baldry: "Really the answer is very close to white. The colour is interesting but in fact the cosmic spectrum is rich in detail and tells us a lot more about the history of star formation in the universe." According to the report, the findings suggested the universe started off as a shade of blue but a generation of "red" stars evolved so that the universe will become redder and redder. The change in color over [time], from pale turquoise to beige, it added, is similar to the color of the sky at sunset.
