Latest FBI Sting Rescues 50 Kids from Slavery in US

"There is no work more important than protecting America's children and freeing them from the cycle of victimization."

Citizen Link reports on the latest in an ongoing operation against child trafficking and sex slavery in the US, by the FBI in partnership with the task forces of the Innocence Lost National Initiative.

This past weekend's sting netted 60 pimps across 36 different US cities, and 50 young people were rescued from their prison of child prostitution. All in all there were over 630 arrests. (Photo: Citizen Link)

According to the CL report, through the Innocence Lost National Initiative, almost 900 children have been rescued since its inception in 2003, and arrests made have led to more than 500 convictions, states the FBI.

"There is no work more important than protecting America's children and freeing them from the cycle of victimization," said Kevin Perkins, assistant director of the FBI's Criminal Investigative Division.
