Female Entrepreneur Uses Capitalism to Help Poor

"I've made a pledge to myself that I want to give away £1 million in total..."
"I am not a martyr," said Mrs. Grobien. "I look at it this way: I have everything I could possibly want, the big house, the smart car and the nice holiday every year. Ultimately, I have reached a time in my life where, fortunately, I don't have to work for personal gain. There are millions of people who are not so lucky, so I have found a way to make some money to help those who need it." According to a report in The Daily Mail, it all began in 2003 when she bought three plots of land for more than £1 million, with some of her own money and some money borrowed from a bank. "I had watched all the television programs on climbing the property ladder and always thought 'I could do that.'" Saying it was rewarding to watch the process, she added, "I knew they were building something much more than a four-bedroom house. They were also laying the foundations for a money-making venture that was going to benefit so many." "It was so rewarding," she concluded. "I have already given away almost £200,000 of the money I made, and there is still more to play with. I've made a pledge to myself that I want to give away £1 million in total, so that means at least one more property project."
