"As the nation welcomed its 300th million American, Time Magazine affirmed the United States to be overwhelmingly a nation of believers — just with different beliefs."
According to the Christian Post, a recent survey by Time Magazine revealed that more than 85 percent of Americans "follow a Christian faith," but that under that umbrella are many different denominations, and diverse and varying beliefs.
The Time report states that the largest segment of Believers within Christianity is that of Evangelical Protestants. Reporter Lillian Kwon cites a statistic from the Philadelphia Inquirer which states, "in the past four decades, evangelical Christians in the West have increased from 50 million to about 75 million. And in the rest of the world, the number shot up from 25 million to 325 million.
