Mother's Day 2017: Ten Best Bible Verses for Cards, Gifts

Mother's Day 2017 is just around this corner—this year, it falls on Sunday, May 14.

From Sarah, Abraham's wife, to Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, there are many women throughout the Bible who are wonderful examples of a mother's sacrifice, unconditional love, and faithfulness.

Proverbs describes a godly woman in this way: "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

This coming Sunday, take a moment to reflect on these Bible verses—and perhaps use one in a card to let your mother, grandmother, or wife know just how much you love and appreciate her.

Proverbs 14:1: The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." - Genesis 2:18

She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. -Proverbs 31:26
