Second Student Dies from Wounds Suffered in Friday Shooting; Teacher Hailed as Hero"Only God knows what escalated this. Only God knows. Nobody pushed a button with bullying. It's just something that happened, and we don't know why." (Marysville, WA)—Sadly, the death toll from Friday's school shooting in Washington State was raised to three, including the gunman, when 14-year-old Gia Soriano died from her gunshot wounds. (Photo via CNN) Gia reportedly died late Sunday night after being listed in critical condition 'with head injuries," according to the CNN report. Jaylen Fryberg, a freshman at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, was said to have opened fire in the lunchroom on Friday morning. Authorities say Jaylen killed fellow student Zoe Galasso and wounded four others before taking his own life. Two of the victims—14-year-old Shaylee Chuckulnaskit and Andrew Fryberg (15)—are still in critical condition, while Nate Hatch (14) is listed as "serious." Nobody pushed a button with bullying. It's just something that happened, and we don't know why." He added that he has forgiven Jaylen for his deadly actions and reportedly plans on visiting his family. "I'll say, 'I feel for you and I'll pray for you,' " said Nate. According to the report, teacher Megan Silberberger likely prevented more kids from being shot, as she ran from her office, toward the shooter when she heard the gunfire. (Photo via CNN) One student who was in the cafeteria described the teacher's bravery. "She just grabbed his arm," Erick Cervantes told reporters. "She's the one that intercepted him with the gun. He tried either reloading or tried aiming at her." The CNN report said that Jaylen apparently had trouble reloading, so it was then that he ended his own life. Please keep this community in prayer.
