Tebow had already landed a job as a network analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network, after the QB NFL door seemed to close (at least for now) when he was released by the NE Patriots.

His debut on the SEC Network was a great success, and Tebow—surprisingly relaxed in front of the camera—quickly endeared himself to his audience when he waxed entertainer, cracking up his fellow commentators with an impromptu impression of Steve Spurrier's recruiting pitch.

USA Today noted, "Tebow is insightful, warm and shows a playful side that didn't always come across during his football days."

Along with (or perhaps despite) Tebow's high moral standard, the above qualities must have caught the eye of ABC executives, as they "opened the window" to a coveted segment on their highest rated morning show.

In a press release, ABC stated: ESPN and SEC Network Analyst Tim Tebow is joining "Good Morning America" as a contributor beginning Monday, September 15th... The first-ever college sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy will help launch GMA's "Motivate Me Monday" series, featuring individuals and their amazing stories of triumph.  Tebow will appear in studio and live on location in towns across America with a wide-range of reports that motivate and inspire.
