As the code red sirens sounded in central Israel, public bomb shelters were opened throughout Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The attack was the "largest salvo of long-range fire from Gaza," according to the Jerusalem Post report.

During the rocket onslaught, five Hamas terrorists tried to infiltrate the country but were met by the IDF, all five were killed.
