Have a Safe 4th of July: Summer Heat Stroke Can Literally Kill You. Here’s How To Protect Yourself...Hyperthermia is a dangerous illness and can be deadly in young or old alike. Be prepared so you can enjoy the summer without being sidelined by too much exposure to heat and sun. (Washington, DC) - During the summer, it is important for everyone, especially older adults and people with chronic medical conditions, to be aware of the dangers of hyperthermia.
