Kurt Warner's Wife Living Her Dream

Teresa Neumann : Sep 13, 2012 : Dan Merica – CNN

"He called me by name, He loves me, and He won't leave me. God was true to His Word that He wouldn't leave me." -Brenda Warner

(Scottsdale, AZ)—Brenda Warner used to be known simply as former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner's wife. Today, the opposite may be true. Since her husband's retirement from football, Brenda has become a familiar face and well-received voice at Christian women's gatherings nationwide. And Kurt is right there by her side, just as she was for him.

Brenda and Kurt No doubt, Brenda Warner would be the first to say that her years of being a stay-at-home mom while her husband played football were part of her life's "dream." But she also had another dream she kept close to her heart. That of sharing the love and hope of Christ to as many women as possible, and making a difference in the lives of disabled children.

As a result, today Brenda is a vocal spokesperson for charities supported by her and her husband.

According to a CNN report, when Brenda shares her testimony of being in the military, having a developmentally disabled child, having her husband leave her, struggling as a single parent, and experiencing the shocking death of her parents, it resonates with many women.

Resonating with her audiences also, is Brenda's solution to her struggles, heartbreak and pain: Jesus Christ. Trusting God eventually brought her into Kurt Warner's life, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The report notes that today Zachary, Brenda's disabled son from her first marriage who was adopted by Kurt, lives in a group home for developmentally disabled adults. He has been the inspiration behind the Warner's building a similar home in Arizona called the Treasure House.

First Things First, a foundation started by Kurt, raises money for ill and developmentally disabled children, "dedicated to impacting lives by promoting Christian values, sharing experiences and providing opportunities."
