"I can't deny [Jesus] raised my brother from the dead. I can't deny when you say things in the name of Jesus, things happen." -Jen Lilley
REPORTER'S NOTE: What makes this actor's proclamation of faith stand out from so many others is her experience seeing Jesus work miracles first-hand in her family. I would venture to say that when we review our own walks of faith, there is invariably a moment we can plant a stake in the ground and say, "This is when I knew beyond a shadow of doubt that God is real." Blessings to Jen Lilley as she continues being a light leading to Christ in the entertainment industry. -Teresa Neumann, BCN.Now that she's leaving the cast of television's "General Hospital," actress Jen Lilley, a Christian, is trusting the next chapter of her life to Jesus.
In a recent Christian Post report, Lilley, who donates half of her income to charity and says she pursues God on a daily basis, said she had to recently reconsider an audition for a major motion picture because it conflicted with her values as a Christian.
When all is said and done, she said, "I would rather not be an actor and be in God's will."
A turning point in Lilley's faith walk occurred when her mother was delivering Lilley's baby brother who had been delivered still-born and didn't breathe for 11 to 15 minutes. The actress said her mother and the Christian doctors at the delivery prayed for a miracle and for healing from the spina bifida he had been diagnosed with in the womb.
"I can't deny the power of Jesus Christ," said Lilley. "I can't deny He raised my brother from the dead. I can't deny when you say things in the name of Jesus, things happen."
