Chivalry Resurrected; A Knight Crosses Canada on Mission for God

Teresa Neumann : Jul 20, 2012 : Matthew Liebenberg – The Prairie Post

"People are stunned, people are amazed. They love it and they just want to know about the project. They stop, they take pictures, they make donations, they're just really amazed to see me." -Vincent Gabriel Kirouac

(Quebec City, Canada)—22-year-old Vincent Gabriel Kirouac and his horse Coeur de Lion (Lion Heart) set off across Canada on April 1 in a quest to bring chivalry back into popular culture.

Vincent Gabriel Kirouac According to a Prairie Post report, Kirouac was knighted by a Catholic bishop before beginning his journey, which culminates in August in British Columbia. He rides a mare that he rescued from a likely trip to the slaughterhouse. Kirouac is easy to spot, dressed in a knight's regalia; complete with sword, helmet and tunic.

The report notes that Kirouac, who had contemplated living chivalrously for years, was actually inspired on his quest when he heard God ask him, "Do you want to serve Me?" Knowing he wasn't called to be in the clergy, he followed his passion for chivalry.

"Chivalry means integrity," he said. "It means being devoted to people, being honest, being good and being a symbol of incorruptibility."

Of society today Kirouac believes there is an increasing dearth of devotion toward others.
