Verizon's "How Sweet The Sound" Choir Competition is BackVerizon's 'How Sweet The Sound' is a truly amazing celebration of Gospel music! It's not only touched my life, but the lives of each and every choir that graces the stage. -Donald Lawrence Verizon once again will be sponsoring "How Sweet The Sound," which is a nationwide search for the best Gospel choir in America. On the How Sweet The Soundwebsite, the goal is listed as celebrating music and to "create a lasting impact on churches and communities across the country."
Hosting and co-hosting the event is Grammy winning recording artist, Donald Lawrence and Dove Award winning Yolanda Adams. This year's judges are Grammy and Dove winning recording artist, CeCe Winans and Erica Campbell—one half of the sister-duo Mary Mary—also an award-winning recording artist. The competition is normally open to any Community Choir or Choir that is affiliated with a religious organization and has a mailing address in one of the required zip codes. This year, How Sweet The Sound has been opened up to choirs not affiliated with a church or religious organization, within certain parameters. There is no registration fee to enter.
